Care & Cleaning

Care & Cleaning: How to keep your Dreamwood vaporizer in good condition for a lifetime.

A Dreamwood vaporizer is not a disposable product, but a companion for many years. To ensure the flavor remains pure and the wood retains its elegant appearance, it needs a little care.

Why proper care is so important for wood

Wood is a living material. It expands, contracts, and stores aromas. A clean vapor path ensures:

  • Unadulterated terpene flavor without any "roasting residue".

  • Optimal air circulation (resistance-free drawing).

  • Protection against cracking caused by drying out (exposure to heat).

The Dreamwood Care Ritual

interval What needs to be done?
After each session Empty the chamber, roughly brush it out or blow it out.
Weekly Check glass parts, wipe wooden bodies with a dry cloth.
Monthly Deep cleaning of the glass parts & wellness treatment for the wood.

Step-by-step cleaning

1. Disassembly & Caution

Allow the device to cool completely. Carefully disassemble the wooden parts and remove the glass tubes (mouthpiece & heat inlet or heating tube).

2. Cleaning the glass parts (borosilicate glass)

  • Isopropanol: Place the glass tubes and sieves in isopropanol (min. 90%) for approximately 10–20 minutes.

  • Mechanical: Remove stubborn residues with a pipe cleaner or cotton swab.

  • Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with warm water and allow to dry completely before using them again.

3. The heart of it all: Wood care

IMPORTANT: Never use isopropanol or harsh cleaners on wood! This will draw moisture from the wood and cause cracks.

  • Cleaning: Scrape the inside of the vaporizer, including the herb chamber and the area below it. Then clean the herb chamber with a brush or wipe it clean with a cotton cloth. Finally, wipe the outside of the wooden body with a dry cloth only.

  • Wellness treatment: Apply our Dreamwood Woodwax (beeswax-based) thinly to the wood using a cloth or your fingers. Let it soak in briefly, then polish it with a soft cloth.

  • Alternative: If our Woodwax is currently empty, you can also use food-grade linseed oil in an emergency.

4. O-rings & seals

  • To ensure the glass tubes slide smoothly and everything seals perfectly, treat the O-rings with a tiny amount of wood wax. This will significantly extend their lifespan and prevent them from becoming brittle.

Storage & Security

  • Avoid heat build-up: Store your vaporizer in a dry place away from direct sunlight (e.g., not on a radiator or in a hot car).

  • Filters: Replace the filters regularly as soon as they can no longer be completely cleaned by soaking them in alcohol. A clean filter is key to optimal airflow.
The sieves can also be burned out with the jet fire and then brushed, but this will cause the sieves to wear out somewhat faster.

Dreamwood Tip: Treat your vaporizer like a precious instrument. The more care you put into maintaining the wood, the more beautiful the patina will become over the years.
